Qnity Electronics, Inc. (Qnity) has been recognized with an Innovation Award from BorgWarner, a global leader in automotive and e-mobility innovation, for its collaborative work in applying Laird™ thermal management solutions in electric vehicle motor drive programs.
The recognition highlights not only the performance of the materials, but also the close collaboration and technical support that enabled the successful deployment in demanding automotive environments.
As electrification accelerates across the automotive industry, effective thermal management has become a defining factor in system performance, reliability, and scalability. Advanced thermal materials must support higher power density, withstand mechanical and thermal stresses, and deliver consistent performance over extended lifecycles. This is where collaboration and application of Laird™ thermal management materials play a critical role in helping customers address increasingly complex thermal challenges that go beyond conventional electronics cooling approaches.
In particular, Laird™ Tpcm™ 7000 thermal materials enable double‑sided liquid cooling architectures, which allow heat to be efficiently removed from both sides of the power module. Compared with single‑sided cooling approaches typical in many electronics segments, this architecture supports higher power density and improved system efficiency, while meeting the durability and performance requirements of automotive production programs.
“Receiving this Innovation Award from BorgWarner is a strong validation of our technical capability, responsiveness, and the commitment our teams bring to strategic customer partnerships,” said Chuck Xu, President, Interconnect Solutions at Qnity. “It reflects how our people collaborate across functions to solve complex thermal challenges in next‑generation electric vehicles, as well as in AI data center and other high‑performance electronics applications, where heat density continues to rise and cooling margins are tightening.”
We love to talk about how our electronics solutions can build business, commercialize products,
and solve the challenges of our time.
