Laird Technologies Opens First Customer Solution Enablement Center in China to Support Advanced Electronics Customers Across Asia Pacific
Expanded Shanghai facility will enable accelerated product development and enhance system reliability, powering thermal management and LED silicone materials
SHANGHAI, CHINA, Nov. 25, 2025 – Qnity Electronics, Inc., a premier technology solutions leader across the semiconductor value chain, announced the launch of Laird Technologies’ (Laird) first customer solution enablement center (“the Center”) in China. The Center is an expansion of the existing Laird Technologies facility in Shanghai and will serve as the Asia Pacific hub for technical collaboration with customers in China and the broader Asia Pacific region. Laird Technologies, part of Qnity Electronics, is a global supplier of advanced electronic materials for thermal management and signal integrity.
With a focus on thermal management and LED silicone materials, the Center provides advanced capabilities in material testing and application validation to support customers across the automotive, AI and data center, telecom, datacom, and LED industries.
“We’re helping our customers push the boundaries and shape the future of connectivity – enabling faster innovation, smarter systems, and stronger performance in markets that matter most to them,” said Chuck Xu, Qnity President, Interconnect Solutions. “The addition of Laird’s Customer Solution Enablement Center in Shanghai is further proof of our commitment to close collaboration with customers, empowering them with tailored solutions that can be successfully integrated directly into their manufacturing processes.”
At the new Asia Pacific Customer Solution Enablement Center, Laird’s scientists and engineers collaborate with customers to test materials, verify that materials meet application requirements in complex systems, and optimize production processes. Using advanced testing equipment in the center, the Laird team helps customers evaluate the chemical, thermal, mechanical, and optical properties of their products. They also simulate how materials will perform in customers’ specific applications and manufacturing environments. These simulations help customers mitigate risks in complex production assembly systems and improve the efficiency and reliability of their manufacturing processes.
“Our expanded facility in Shanghai is not just a material testing lab, but also a simulation center and an incubator of innovation,” said Linda Gu, Asia-Pacific Sales Leader for Laird. “Our experts work directly with customers to improve product performance and system reliability, turning their challenges into solutions that improve the performance of advanced electronics.”
To further support customers, Laird is developing a comprehensive material and performance testing and standard certification system and a material and application database in the Asia-Pacific Customer Solution Enablement Center.
