Qnity Electronics, Inc. Statement on Human Rights

Qnity Electronics, Inc. (“Qnity”) is committed to the protection and advancement of human rights wherever we operate. Qnity’s support for human rights is based on our commitment to our People value. We commit to conducting our business in an ethical and responsible manner that supports and respects the protection of human rights. Our commitment to ethics operates in conjunction with our values, our product stewardship programs, our regulatory compliance programs, our endorsement of the ten guiding principles of the U.N. Global Compact, and our Supplier Code of Conduct.

We work to identify and do business with partners who aspire to conduct their business in a similar manner. Compliance with this commitment and applicable laws is the responsibility of every employee and contractor acting on our behalf and a condition of their employment or contract.

At Qnity, we ensure that our products are manufactured under conditions that respect the well-being of the people who make them, the rights of the people living in the communities around our facilities, and those who may be affected by these operations.

Prohibition Against Child and Forced Labor and Human Trafficking

Qnity will not tolerate the use of child labor in its global operations or facilities. We will not tolerate the exploitation of children, or the trafficking, physical punishment, abuse, or involuntary servitude of any worker.

Qnity defines a “child” as anyone who is less than 15 years of age. At sites and in locations where national or local law or regulation provides for a minimum employment age greater than 15 years or imposes additional restrictions in activities such as hazardous work, such laws and regulations must be observed.

Qnity defines a “young person” as anyone between 15 and 18 years of age. Any young person’s employment must be performed under the following guidelines: a temporary internship, apprenticeship; or a seasonal common and customary practice in the industry; does not interfere with schooling; the young person is working with the permission of their parent or legal guardian; does not violate any pertinent labor law or regulation; will be directly supervised; the young person’s safety, health and education will be a primary concern; and no hazardous work is allowed.

Qnity will not tolerate forced labor, slavery, or human trafficking in any of its global operations or facilities. This includes all forms of slavery, slave-like practices (e.g., demanding excessive fees and withholding documents), servitude, or other forms of domination or oppression (e.g., debt bondage and use of force).

All work shall be voluntary, and workers shall be free to leave work at any time or terminate their employment without penalty if reasonable notice is given, which shall be clearly stated in workers’ contracts.

As part of the hiring process, all workers must be provided with a written employment agreement in their native language, or in a language the worker can understand, that contains a description of terms and conditions of employment.

There shall be no unreasonable restrictions on workers’ freedom of movement in company-provided facilities, nor any unreasonable restrictions on entering or exiting company-provided facilities, including, if applicable, workers’ dormitories or living quarters.

Similarly, Qnity will not tolerate any transporting, harboring, recruiting, transferring or receiving people through force, coercion, abduction, fraud, or deception.

Employees

We adhere to our value of People with an unwavering commitment to treating our employees and all our business partners with professionalism, dignity, and respect, fostering an environment where people can contribute, innovate, and excel. This includes nondiscrimination, non-retaliation, freedom of association, and the right to engage in collective bargaining, in accordance with local laws. We respect each individual and view inclusion as a strength.

Compensation

Qnity will pay wages that meet or exceed the legally required wages or, where no wage law exists, the local industry standard. Qnity will not deduct wages as a disciplinary measure and will provide employees with sufficiently informative and accurate wage statements.

Qnity will not tolerate any recruitment fees charged to employees or any recruitment and other associated fees that could result in any debt bondage to employees or those seeking employment with the company.

Working Hours

Qnity will comply with applicable laws and industry practices on working hours. In accordance with International Labour Organization (“ILO”) standards, Qnity will not require workers to work more than 60 hours per week including overtime, except in extraordinary business circumstances and with worker consent. Workers must be allowed to have at least one day off every seven days.

Rights of Vulnerable Groups

Qnity seeks to protect and advance human rights wherever we operate. We recognize and respect the rights of vulnerable groups around the world, such as indigenous peoples; national or ethnic, religious, and linguistic minorities; migrants; refugees; members of poverty-stricken communities; members of the LBGTQ+ community; and women. We not only encourage but expect our suppliers to be similarly committed to protecting the rights of these vulnerable groups.

Suppliers and Contractors and other External Parties

We expect our suppliers and contractors with whom we do business to uphold the standards contained in this Statement on Human Rights. Should a violation of these principles become known to Qnity, Qnity will take appropriate action, possibly including discontinuation of the business relationship.

Qnity maintains a robust and comprehensive compliance program for external party risk management. All external parties doing business with Qnity are subject to this program which involves different levels of due diligence based on compliance risks. The external party risk management program is designed to assess and monitor compliance of our suppliers and commercial partners with labor, employment, human rights, safety, anti-corruption, and business ethics.
